Megapeel® Microdermabrasion is a concurrent two-stage exfoliating process using a medical grade machine that precisely removes dead skin cells, layer by layer, until fresh new cells appear, exposing younger and healthier skin. The treatment hand piece sprays aluminum oxide crystals onto the skin, and then vacuums up the loosened dead skin cells and spent crystals. The ability to customize the treatment by regulating crystal flow and vacuum action surpasses any at-home exfoliating method.
This powerful exfoliating process can be used by all skin types and for anyone interested in minimizing the appearance of scarring, fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, pigmentation problems, uneven skin tones, and sun-damaged skin. There is little to no discomfort with the treatment. The combination of stripping off dead skin cells and applying vacuum pressure to the skin surface stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin. This results in smoother skin.
While one treatment can produce visible results, recommended protocol is a series of six treatments administered two weeks apart. For optimal results a maintenance treatment can be performed every four to six weeks.
